                                            ABOUT KELLY McGUIRE

I believe in the healing ability within each person.  I see everyone as a unique mosaic made up of all the experiences they have had along their journey.  Using compassion, understanding and the tools I have crafted along the way, I am fully present with each client, holding space for powerful healing and change to occur.

Where I come from...

After graduating with a degree in Psychology in 2000, I obtained my National Guild of Hypnotists Hypnotherapist Certification in 2006 from the Canadian Hypnosis Centre.  I have completed a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality degree (2017), and am continually taking professional development courses, to serve better.

I worked  as a dedicated counsellor at the Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC) of Ottawa from 1998 until 2007, where I supported survivors of sexual assault through a crisis line, individual counselling sessions and through support groups.  The strength and amazing healing ability of my clients always inspired me more than words can say.

I officially opened up the doors to my Hypnosis private practice in 2007, and I expanded my practice by joining the incredible healing team at  Somerset Health and Wellness as my second office in 2018.  I am proud to continue this amazing work to this day.

It is an honour to walk along side my clients in whatever it is they are dealing with.  To witness so many deep and lasting internal transformations is awe inspiring.  I feel privileged to be a partner in change for so many.

I am a proud member of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH).
I am a proud member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) (PLEASE NOTE:  While I am in the application stage to the CRPO,  I am not as of yet a Registered Psychotherapist at this time)
